New Tank Setup

    I have been doing some reading and it seems that plastic pot scrubbers are supposed to be the best..

    The ceramics seems to clog up easily and therefore being less effective..

    Yea agreed on the quarantine tank, I think I more meant it a tank to put pregnant fish or maybe bullied fish in. Not sick ones...

    OK so are you guys saying we don't need chemical filtering? That would be on a adhock basis.. Rather just shove more pot scrubbers in there...

    Chemical filtration comes in more when you have an actual chemical you are trying to remove or even tannins if you do not like a slight tint due to driftwood etc.

    Ok so the I don't thick chemical is that important for now...

    I did also think that shade cloth is probably a great DIY filter media... Can cut it into sheets and just lay it down ontop of each other. Can get all sorts of different sizes etc.
