Old tank from storage

@Whoknows here is that background I promised to show you.

Keep in mind that this is in direct sunlight, which the tank obviously won't be.
The background mostly looks black or dark grey under tank light, only picking up some sparkle as light hits the water or as you move around the tank

 

After getting a few quotes yesterday I did a rough calculation.
My lowest quote for normal float glass is R440 per large panel, so I worked that out to about R1960 for an entire 4ft tank's worth of glass.
So R1990 retail to buy one already assembled seems like a good price, tbh.

Doing the same calculation for a 4ft tank made out of all low iron glass got me a price of R4760!

Google the retail on those tanks, if I recall they're just shy of R4k. I'm not sure if they have some low iron panels, but their prices rise pretty steeply from the 4 ft price.
I guess they have 10mm bases as well, so that could be why.

 

Hi everyone.
I decided to bite the bullet and get a new tank, taking the old one apart seemed like it would take more time than I was willing to spend on the project.

This means I have the old 4ft tank (with the silicone already cut through in some places) and two replacement pieces of glass that I need to get rid of.
Is anyone interested? If I can recoup the money for the replacement panes I'd be happy.
