That is why I do not use the main post office. I send to the smaller one in my neighborhood. They are much more helpful. When I walk in, they start looking for my packages!

Well, the guy may be away. Keep trying his email and wait for the post office delivery slip. Even try to place a new inquiry to buy from the guy from a different email address. Pretend you are a new customer. If he respond, you know for sure you have been taken. Then call the cops!

The fact that the post office isn't prepared to look under your name is shocking. They have a book where every parcel get's written into. They were just being too lazy to look in there. I'd lodge a complaint against SAPO. Base your complaint on:

"Sender lost Tracking number, PO not prepared to assist"

When you're sure it's never going to arrive please let me know the name of the site you ordered from so that I can avoid being caught as well. (haha that's a fishy pun)

always check the reputation before buying from an online store, if you don't the odds are you may be throwing your money away.

the amount of effort you will go through to get the R200 back is rediculous and not worth it unless you really really really want to make a point. please pm me the website and I will see what info I can get for you.

Please excuse my french.. this is utter BS. (And I don't mean Brine Shrimp!)

I went to my PO yesterday to collect a parcel that Altum sent me. I forgot to take the tracking number with, and the slip was in the post box (which I forgot to go check before hand). I mentioned that I was expecting a parcel, and all the lady did was pull out the speed post book and page through the last 3 weeks of parcels received. She found my name, I confirmed with an ID document, and I received the package. I've done this many times.

If you have not received a slip in the post, then it was not sent.

depends on how useless your PO is, ours regularly 'forget' to put a slip in your postbox.
but yes, if you storm in there, stamp your foot and make angry noises they'll haul out the book and page through it to find your name

Collecting parcels in Lenasia is always a mission as we have two PO , and the smaller one has no book system.

I hope this is a good sign, as they not just avoiding you.
