So, are freshwater shrimps legal or illegal to keep? I've been looking into them and they are adorable, I'd love to keep a few of them.

Then that is a real relief! Also, sorry for Necro-ing the thread, lol. If I may ask, where can I actually find shrimp? it's extremely hard to find them it seems.

 

Plenty members on the forum often sell shrimp.
I am sure someone will be able to help you...

 

Depending on where you are located, there should be someone with shrimp around you.

 

I'm in the meyerton area. Hoping to find someone soon, once I'm sure my tank has cycled.

Forgive me if I am being ignorant, but I'd just like to clarify whether or not they are legal as I am getting conflicting information.

Not legal to import from over seas.

Kept yes....crayfish is on the blacklisted species. Shrimp not on the blacklist....yet
