Photo Competition

    But there's different fish inside that tank, try to get creative and get some photo's of fish poking their heads out of the plants or a couple of fish swimming together, or a loach eating off the substrate etc. etc. Who knows, maybe just a simple photo of the whole tank will be enough, we're not looking for those 'out of this world' pics, just a 'nice' pic may be enough.

    As much as we would like to we unfortunately can not cater for every single persons needs, let's just give it a go and we can come up with new suggestions and idea's as we go along.

    In order to make it completely fair I will also get the mods from MASA to pop in and give their vote for the pics, that way the judging of the pics will be totally neutral.

    Should we perhaps have a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place?

    How about instead of a comp., every week, or every month a photo gets uploaded, in no particular order, Lets say, first one in is the first one up and so on

    Absolutely, it's just that some members expressed concerns about buddies choosing buddies, so we'll remove that element from the comp.:bigsmile:

    Nah I don't think so, as long as the pic is yours and of your tank /livestock then it's fine, doesn't matter when you took it.

    cool, yeah, somthing like that, maybe even a slideshow, where a pic gets cycled every minute or somthing, that way everyone gets a pic on the home page

    i disagree Zoom, i also only have one tank...but the only thing left for us to do is take pics of our fish, our tanks have already been seen on TASA...unless, you got fish that most people don't have then you possibly stand a good chance, i'm sure everyone has seen many pics of guppies, angels, oscars, severums, neon tetras etc...just my thoughts, i could be wrong...

    Nothing wrong with taking pics of guppies etc. Take this simple shot for example, it's got different fish in it, it's got colour, it's in focus, overall it's quite a nice pic, simple but nice.

    My point is that you do not always have to be part of it to enjoy it.

    Another idee: at the end of the month take about 20-30 photos and create a TASA screensaver we can download.

    Ye, lets do this, it sounds like mucho fun. Time to dust of the ol' camera. How do u put a picture on u're computer if the camera stil works with film... LOL :D

    Fishman, best would be to take it to a film processing place (kodak or whereever) and ask them to put it onto CD for you.

    You don't have to have the pictures printed if you don't want them printed.
