I would greatly appreciate if someone could please Id this plant for my.

My Bettas are dying mysteriously and I'm beginning to wonder if it might be these plants...

Some echinodorus species, looks like normal amazonicus.

    Yippee!

Will it grow emersed? Can grow myself a nice little jungle! (Ha-ha)

Seriously though, if it gets too big and I cut it down to the roots, will I be able to "maintain" it?

Easiest way to maintain it is to trim any leaves that hit the surface. As soon as the leaves hit the surface, the plant will send all the leaves to the surface.
