Haha... Not a chance. The game is wide open... Especially when you consider my history with algae. Let's just say, we're very close... Always...

By by the way Slummers.. I have some of that emersed cobra grass carpet to give away. Can probably manage another 3 hand sized pieces.

    comes from here..

Thanks Mark.. I'm sorted with plants for now. I'll be at home on Sunday, just give a shout if you want to collect. The red plant is Alternanthera Reineckii I think.

Cool, if I get a chance will give you a shout...still in the process of sorting out my house after moving. :(

Also thought it was Alternanthera Reineckii at first as it looks very similar to mine..but pictures I see on the internet of it always look completely different...so its a bit confusing...curse these emersed and submersed forms! :p

I know what you mean... Mixed in with the emersed and submersed forms, there is also a lot of misidentification as well... You should see how mad it gets with Malawi cichlids ids.

They are fully aquatic. You'll find that most aquatic plants have an emersed form as well... I.e. They can grow out of water.

I raised the 8w led to get a better spread from the 36degree lighting angle, did a water change and started dosing Excel. I've never used it before, so quite curious to see the result. Tank looks nice for now, but as mentioned, algae seems to find me... always..
dont know if the 8w led will have enough PAR @ivan? Looks bright, but dunno hey?

Definitely looks brighter. Really like that piece of marble with the pebbles in front of the tank...really adds to the overall effect!

Haha, thanks Mark. The tank rests on that off cut slab. I was just laying the stones down there whilst re-arranging the tank. Looked really cool, so left them there.

It amazing how big a small tank can look.
As for the Algae, Excel should take care of that. Just OD on the excel a little.
    Over All, Nicely done.

@Broder - What camera do you take these pics with.
If you have a DSRL, See It you can take a pic with a long shutter speed. About 1 second plus.

This will create a really nice effect on the waterfall.

I'll do that soon Derik. These pics are all with my iPhone. I still want to get some totally white sand for the sand fall. The pfs is ok, but the grain size is a little on the big side and not so bright. A local LFS is getting some white sand for reptile cages, but only next year.
