    Hi please ID this fish as I know it is not a Malawi, also advise if it is a rare species?

    As far as I know that is a brown calvus. Is it the guy that was at loolilocks.

    As in other thread... Altolamprologus Compressiceps Orange Chaitika!
    There be no such thing as brown Calvus, unless your LFS really doesn't know what that fish is that they're selling for R200+

    They are pretty rare, seen less than Black Calvus but not particularly difficult to get hold of for importers.

    Problem I have is to catch this guy and put him up for sale but in a High tank with 1100lt of water just seems impossible unless I empty the entire tank which I am certainly not doing now I am faced with a problem?

    Sorry just what I thought it was. I really dont know my tangs and I ment was the fish at loolilocks not you haha.
