Post your cichlids!

I wouldn't try and cross breed Bolivian rams with German Blues, mainly because I would be unsure if they could even??

I haven't seen any Bolivian Rams for quite some time!! There was a period where they were available all over, but then they just dissapeared!!

Not sure I'd even put the Blues in with Bolivians either?? Aggresion could be an issue, and one of the Rams could end up dead!!

Maybe keep an eye out in the LFS's, or put a wanted post up in the classifieds thread?? Otherwise, get rid of your Ram and get a pair from Veegal and Zafgak??

G, i just looked some more at pics and i heve a blue ram... the bolivian ram does not have the red eyes like mine end the very dark black spot and band around its head... maybe my pics was just too bad quality... Go search both the rams on google pics..

These fish are still young, they range in size from 5 to 8cm cant wait for them to colour up proper, these pics were taken a few weeks back with my cellphone, sorry for the quality.

1. torpheus duboisi and white/blue careuli in back ground (also Hongi) 2. Ahli with auratus in background 3. red top hongi

Why not, are they really bad, i have loaded pics from my cellphone, also I dont have a fancy digital cam

Not bad, I have been wanting to put some monos with my malawis, do they manage well? I currently have dwarf australian rainbows with mine they are quite fiesty and stand their ground actually looking for more

 

They do very well and there is not a single malawi that dominates them there will swim away if need be but they are right back where they started...

nice thing is they swim in the middle of the tank most of the time so they are always the "center of attention!" lol

 

that looks so nice i really need to sort my tank out,gonna to the koppie up the road from me for some rocks to put in the tank

Thorichthys Ellioti . I picked up 5 of these from Dolphin today, they are currently in my quarantine tank. The picture really doesn't do these guys justice
