    good morning Guy and Girls, thought I would upload some pics of the BDs. all is going real well with them and have put on some nice size. for the first time I can say I have managed to get them on to pellets.. so at the moment there diet consists of Massavour in the morning and lunch and at night I feed Shrimp and Hake... Have to add that I have found the BDs to be a lot more agro than the normal Motoros, I had 7 Goes (4cm) give or take in the tank with them and landed up having to remove them as the BDs landed up eating two. I have never had this happen and was totally shocked..

    @Cesar,

    Stunning.
    They are growing quickly.
    And well done on getting them to take pellets. Mine are still refusing.

    thanks Guys

    @Reedfish.... they have grown quickly, female is growing a lot quicker than the male. I have found that common even with the Motoros.
    it was a luck of the drawer as I was feeding my Goes that are growing out and noticed the rays eating them so I took some Massavour broke it in half and they go crazy for it...

    You are right but if i think about it, at the moment, Rose's boy pup is growing very fast too..

    I wonder if species... litter size could influence it?

    @Reedfish.... see on my side the females have been more eager to eat then the males... explains why the difference in growth..

    Yup, it does.
    I hand feed with tweezers and always try and make sure the female gets a bit more.

    Oy, those are nice fish. You have something special that very few of us can put together, in terms of time, cost, space and dedication.

    @Reedfish.... I have not had to feed with tweezers yet but I do keep a close eye to make sure all get food and one does not starve..

    I use tweezers to target feed the Rays and Lungfish.
    If I didn't, the other fish would grab the food first, and it would cost me a fortune in the frozen food etc
    Do you not find this?
