Never heard of the yogurt trick before. Sounds cool, let us know how it goes.
I want to do another dry start with a time laps camera, I have a corner of my workshop that is off limits to EVERYONE!

interesting.... like a man cave of sorts

moss culture involves putting your moss in grinder and blitzing it which you mix with yogurt...

apply the paste with a brush on the hardscape and it will attach itself. the yogurt acts as food for the moss coupled with spraying and you can flood after a week or two

My moss is growing well just attached to the wood in my DSM. You just need plenty to start with.

I just leave a small gap in the lid for air to escape :)1542285448103481125810.jpg

So i got a quote to get a new balast for my odysea T5 fixture [2 x 54W] and it's R270,00 to replace...

now i will have to consider cheap LED lighting as an alternative

It's not really blocking much, just sitting around there I guess ;)

forgive me for i dont know how to rotate this pic but its a piece of driftwood that i picked up from kosi bay.
this piece is 3/4 the size of my 4ft tank and i drilled some holes to attach my epiphytes.
i wonder if i have bitten more that i can chew by adding such a large piece into my tank...
