As @Hendre said, powder is the cheaper but also more concentrated form of Prime according to Seachem
Also Safe does not detoxify metals (bind metals into a form that is not toxic to fish) and Prime does.

As for measuring safe, i dont find it a problem and also the safety margin is so high that its very unlikely you overdose.
I suppose the liquid in mm is easier but you get used to it very quickly

I have always been too scared to throw the powder straight into the tank so i usually dissolve in a bucket of water before i start filling and then pour that into the tank
Some people say they put the safe powder straight into the tank and its fine ut i have not tried it yet.

Yep... did the bucket drill for a long time but with the big tanks, the bucket drill had to come to an end very quickly!!!

I use a sodium thiosulfate solution to remove chlorine from the water. Made it to treat 3ppm chlorine (we don't even have 1ppm)

It doesn't detoxify ammonia or metals or anything so caution should be taken in areas with chloramine

Thank you for informing, I will do some more research on that. Would like to try it just for back up since ive only been using the cheapest dechlor my LFS has to use on my aged water just incase;) Have been using this method since I started the hobby and never had any issues, but to get that expense out of the way now......why not hehehe:thumbup:

Cool, I may start premixing and selling some of this as a basic and affordable dechlorinator...
