Python water changer system

Not a bad price for 2 foot valve strainers. I'll have to google to find out where I can get them in PMB.

 

After trying a couple of stuff a 10m 16mm pipe with L connector is the fastest and easiest for me. My hose pipe and refill pump both fit perfectly. The L also keeps a syphon going when moving from one tank to the next so you just lift the pipe a bit to continue cleaning. I tried the 20mm bit it was way to powerful. It drained the tank to quickly and by the time I got all the gunk the tank was empty. I let the tanks drain onto the grass and garden to help with the wastage.

 

100% exactly why I like the reducer on the new contraption, look it is nice to have a big pipe when you dumping 300l as a go, but that is so seldom these days.

Going to give the new double filter a go today. Keen to see how well it works.
