Thanks. I think she`s a combtail, round tail, fan tail or a delta. Too soon to say but her partner is a delta. A white milky white delta with some pink and red. Hows your betta breeding coming along?

Do you know if your male is an f1 or f2? That delta trait is basically crossing a hm with a vt. Or it can be from vt bein gin the parents. I really like the look of your female. For me I follow a thailand breeders opinion tthat the female has the dominant tail in a breeding. So your fy should show a lot mor ct than a rounder tail but breeding back to the male will gove you a lot more fry in the f2 spawn with a rounder tail. But a lot of hm will come from it. That red wash you are seeing in the tail will also be a lot less and you could end up with a good amount of solid white in the f2 fry. I don't think you would have had solid whites in the first spawn unless the female had the gene in her some where. But crossing the father to the most white fry will give you an excellent chance on either getting a lot less red wash in the fins or getting that total white male. But again ou are going to have deltas and half moos from that spawn. With a few showing crown tail. But I really do like that female she is an awesome colour

    Hi thanks.
    What is an f1 and a f2?
I am not going to spawn this female (and I almost sure she is an female) with her father. I am going to spawn her with another white male. The reason: Her father is a round tail. The other white male is a delta with some pink in him. I don`t know how the fry will look but I`ll pick the cleanest ones to breed with.
    Thanks.

F1 is first generation. So your fry are f1. F2 will be thses fry offspring. With another male with the red, you will strengthen the red u already have. But cud get close to a solid white, that you can breed back to your her male. Will also cope bettr with his tail

Yes... a pity the delta has red in his tail. But this female seem to be a delta perhaps and delta and delta would result in more delta. Then like u said I could breed the whitest fish with each other

    Yes
The biggest fry survived. The rest were all too weak to go on...
But anyway the biggest fry, a cambodian female seems to be comb tail. I now have to chose one of these three males for her. Only problem they are not quite too interested in making a bubble nest!
White bodied, scarlet finned delta (my first choice)
steel blue spade tail plakat (second choice)
    Turqoise blue plakat (third choice)
Or if anyone else know how I can find a nice male for her in Cape Town?
Sorry can`t get the pic uploaded will try later

I share your frustration in regard with no bubble nesting. However I have managed to get them building after adding rooibos to the aged water. I believe that the tannin and also the rooibos strengthens their immune system thus making them feel more energetic. Also boost them with the attisons range and some blood worm twice a week. All my males bubble if I do the above combination.

At this current moment she is in the spawning tank with the delta male. She seem very keen on spawning; he seem very lazy. But just maybe.... just maybe. She has some very little purple in her tail so it would be interesting if they breed.
@hein24 I added a rooibos bag to the tank and a little aquarium salt. I hope this helps.
    I`ll keep you updated.
