LOL! I do my best buster... But remember, this whole tank is your own imagination shining through, so I can't take any credit for what your tank looks like dude! Your tank has matured really nicely, and I look forward to seeing it grow in even more!

    Update 18-11-12

    mytank.jpg

Stargrass has finally started to rocket up towards the surface and tenellus is still filling out nicely.

Black beard algea is getting the best of the log.. going to tray overgrow on java moss over it.

Trim that stargrass and replant it. It will bush out a lot quicker.

Plants are looking good! It's time to trim the tank though!

My LFS had BBA growing on some driftwood in their main display tank. Looks really awesome until you get it in your tank!

Tank after a recent trim.... plants are still growing well, including the new addition the tiger lotus which I managed to order from ebay for about R100 :)

BBA still a problem despite trimming affected leaves and bleaching of the rocks and wood. Dropped the lighting down to half which seems to have helped control it with little/no affect on the rest of he plant growth. Current plan is to grow out the moss on the wood to cover it and then try bleach the rocks again now that the lighting is better, hopefully won't return or spot treatment on any ones that reappear.

If anybody wants some trimmings just pm me and will make a plan.... promise to give you only cuttings that have no BBA on them :push:

Your tank is looking awesome ...

I am thinking some Hygrophila Pinnatifida on the left ..... should have a few stems in a few weeks if you keen. What moss you looking for might be able to assist with that also.

    Later Ferdie

So big update to the tank.... BBA really did a number on me so had to do a big clean up and took the time to make a few changes.

Going for a bit less planted island effect. From left to right, tenellus for the carpet but may replace with a hairgrass or other grass type plant, star grass took a hammering but planted what good cuttings I could get next to the left of the rotala and will try keep it midway from the top, more rotala growing behind the fern, moss growing on the log now but will take a while to establish and cover it all.

Still a bit of BBA on some of the leaves (it was on pretty much every leaf and plant in the tank) but after bleach and leaf trim I have been dosing large amounts of excel flourish which seems to be killing it.

Looks empty but based on the former scape, this tank is gonna look epic. Good start.
