    Okay, its been a while.

So after selling the 3ft and being tankless for quite some time, I have seen the light once again.

I just came back from the petstore now. In my grocery bag I found these.(I still need to think of an excuse for the wife.)

    1x Boyo MX30 rimless 2.5 Gal Nano
    1x Dolphin 50w Stubby heater
    1x Resun ML11 Light Fitting
    1x Hailea BT-200 Internal Filter

I'll post pics soon, I promise.

So now all i need is:
    -H2O
    -Some really fine gravel
    -Ferts
    -DIY CO2 bits
    -Plants
    -a suitable tankmate.

Kittens or puppy's usually do the trick pretty well too

Congrats on your new purchase :)
I look forward to seeing what you do with it.

So what fish were you thinking of putting in there?

Thank you, Either 5 tiny neons or 1 Betta. I'm leaning towards the betta as they are such rewarding fish. But the fish will be an afterthought as the main idea is having a planted nano.

Oh we have a little boy, Jimmy, our 4month old miniature Long-haired Daschund.

Nifty Ruan. Its such a pity that small external filters and inline heaters are so scarce and expensive. I may have a small HOB filter for you if you want it?

The new HOB is working marvelously! I dont have to replant the plants every 5minutes, yes, I think the little Internal filter was a bit to strong for the tank volume I have. Will post some updated pics as soon as I find that darn data cable.

Got some new pics of the tank. I took them on friday, but by sunday the growth was already way more than it was on Friday. The tank is growing out at a quick pace.
    Anyway, onto the pics:

Hi Ruan what is the broad grass on the left? Looks almost like normal lawn grass.

Dont know the Scientific name, but I bought it as Brazilian Microswords.

The heater was a freeby as I shop at that LFS alot, the tank was R190.
