WOW Ruan, your tank looks great! The plants have grown so nicely.. Have you decided what fish you're going to put in there... *COUGH* Betta *COUGH* Siamese *COUGH* Fighter *COUGH*... Sorry just had something in my throat there.

I do plan to get a betta in there, but not anytime soon. I want to get the tank stable. At the moment its a constant battle with Hair-algae. I will see how it goes after HAW3(hair algae war 3).

 

YAY!!! Another one on the betta side.. Soon we will rule the fish world!!!
About the hair algae... I've been there. Have you tried the blackout method (Zoom introduced it to me)?

 

Okay so last night I trimmed my plants and manually removed every last strand of hair algae.
The tank looks much better now. Will post some pics very soon.

Okay, so I have now completely stopped with CO2 and Ferts.

I got myself 4 White Clouds lastnight and they look really happy in the tank.
Whatever plants decide to melt away without the help of ferts and co2 will be removed.

The White Clouds will occupy the tank till their 2ft biotope is ready. The the nano will become a betta home.
Will post pics of the new inhabitants soon.
