Had some red ones couple years ago but the red was very wishy washy and never really became the colour you would expect But I suppose some blues never really go the deep blue either
@MariaS Looking at google images, some of the mature males develop quite a rusty red colouration. But otherwise, yes, it seems a bit wishy washy.
Was at the lfs yesterday. They had these EBJD which looked quite nice The also had a new marine shipment. Some really nice stuff there. So tempting to go over to the "Dark Side"
I find they are very very sensitive. Have tried them on multiple occasions when I had South and Central Cichlids. They never did well for me
Same here .. they were either going at each other or bullying other fish. Also had a few occasions where I got up and found one dead. My friend on the other hand who bought his with mine kept them with his Oscars and they were excellent for him.
I have a 2yr old Electric Blue Jack aka "Blackbeard". Had since he was a litte guy. Hes very chill and reclusive. Doesnt like to be bothered and doesnt bother anyone else in the tank. Hes housed with clown loaches, electric blue acaras and a Lemon Oscar aka "Bob".
I went to the lfs yesterday to pick up some frozen food. They had these : Retroculus lapidifer. Stunning. For a brief moment I wished I still had my SA setup. Paratilapia polleni. Also stunning Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
