Six foot tank

    Can anyone tell me if a sump filter and a powerhead for air in tank is enough for a six foot malawi tank.
    The sump filter is circulating 3000lt per hour.

    How many litres is your 6 foot tank? How big is the sump? A good read for you is the sticky on filtration rates in the Profs section.

    Should be more than enough for oxygenation purposes....If you worried still - add an airstone or two...

    If you have surface aggitation in either the main tank or sump, you have enough. usually guys with sumps complain that they have too much
