    According to a few forums in the states rays need an 8 ft x 4 ft tank footprint, the high is irreverent. I have just built an 8ft x 4ft x 2.5ft plywood and fiberglass tank. I can pm you the costing if you are interested in building one. It works out to be a lot cheaper and stronger than a traditional glass tank, but it takes some getting used to the look of the tank

    @perry41
    Yes, I have read that too.

    But my P hystrix are the smaller species. And seem fine in the tank.
    And why for the moment, henlei and BD are not an option for me.

    Good Day @perry41
    nothing much has changed as far as the rays and aro go except for them growing lol.. I've had the male in with the females for a month now and have had to remove him to give the one female chance
    to heal as he is quite aggressive and tends to pick on the one female... she has heeled up quite well but still needs more time..
    as for all pup that was born here, he is doing well and grown like crazy. not to mention he has turned out to be quite a stunning ray and I look forward to seeing what he is going to end up looking like.
    the other 4 pups im growing are also doing well...

    @Ashmed.... aro will only eat crickets and meal worms, have tried a few def things but no luck...

    @Reedfish..... thanks, I can not wait for it. he has really come out he's shell as he at least comes to fetch food every night and I don't have to target feed him with tweezers...

    Are you not concerned it may have a go at your other fish as it gets bigger?
    Apparently they are voracious predators, and will attack and try eat anything, irrespective of size.

    @Reedfish... at the moment he is very well behaved and does not torment any of his tank mates. so i am hoping he stays that way. I do keep him well fed so that he does not
    go looking for food. if it does turn out to become extremely agro I will adjust the fish around and maybe move him to the silver aros tank..

    @Cesar tank and rays are looking amazing, Give Kevin from jozibugs.co.za a call, I get al my feeders from him at a great price. There are some interesting things on the site that I have fed to my arowana. He has Madagascan hissing cockroaches as well as superworms which I find my arowana loves as well as earthworms for really cheap and he delivers.

    I wonder if you can help me, Im looking for another hybrid ray, do you know anyone selling any?
