Pity England couldn’t win by the end of play. But shouldn’t take long tomorrow

Long weekend - we have Monday off as a public holiday for the Queen's funeral.
I think all shops etc will be closed. I will prob watch a bit on tv, and the weather doesn't look too bad, so will be in the garden enjoying the last of summer.

Harassed by a pair of Red Wing Starling. Cleaning the pool these days is becoming hazardous. There is a pair of Starling that has had a long standing nest perched on the aircon unit. Whenever I appear they go into attack mode.

They will swoop close to me when my back is turned, You can actually feel their wings flap on you. They do have a tell though. As they dive in at the last moment they give off a squawk. Then I just duck.

They got it in for me. About two months back I pulled the whole nest down chicks and all. Within two weeks they had the nest rebuilt from scratch.

But its not over. I shall prevail. I have a plan in mind.

Pulled the nest down. Chicks came tumbling out. Relocated them in the bushes nearby. Made diy bird spikes with long nails. Placed it by the aircon unit where the nest was. So far so good. They not nesting there. But they still in the area. When ever they see me at the pool they start........

So I am a bit excited.

Saw one of my Usisya Elongatus got fat the last week and low and behold this morning woke up to holding female. First clutch in the african setup so fingers crossed for some healthy fry

This is really exciting.. are you going to intervene or just let nature take its course? Just know once they start, they don't stop

Atm i've got her seperated. But if my one LFS that said they will take the fry cant keep up i will most certainly have to let nature take its course. Or let the frontosa's make the decision on who lives and who does not
