Think I’ll try move some of my males into the QT (which has cull neos in) then add your females to the jungle tank.

We have a construction team in to repair a few relatively minor things plus a structural issue that is basically making part of the house fall off

It runs across 3 rooms, this is what it looks like after they’ve removed the plaster and crumbling bits.

I am house sitting for a friend who has a Sphinx cat named Zeus. Been fun so far. He is very friendly and surprisingly soft and warm. Tonight is my last night. Just for fun I hid a whole box of lindt chocolate balls all over the house for her to find. I also hid glitter booby traps (glitter in tissue paper that has been taped in such as way so as to tear and spread glitter everywhere if any sort of forced is applied - think opening a cupboard door or picking up a coffee mug) all over. I also made her a video doing the whole Dr Evil swivel chair while stroking the hairless cat thing explaining the game which I will send her tomorrow morning before she arrives home again.

A new day, check the foundation. If it's cracked as well, that whole area should be demolished and rebuilt. In what I can see,Pic1;3;4. it looks like a very bad add-on to the previous structure. Try to get the previous owner or building contractor, check the house plans when it was built and if that part was added on. It can hopefully be saved but at what cost.

@andries thanks I’ll pass this info on. The hubby took one look at it and got a structural engineer in to manage this part. It was indeed an add on by previous owners.

After 2 long days, we have finally moved into our new house. Most daunting was moving my 2 very small tanks. And they are small, 30 and 40 liters. I have been resisting MTS and delayed getting bigger tanks till this move was done. I dont have the nerves to move one of those bad boys. In my previous move I cracked a small 30 liter, so adamant not to repeat that, I enrolled the boyfriend for adult supervision. They were moved late afternoon, when all the drama of the day was over. I was so nervous but we got the tanks and their inhabitants safely to the new house. No cracks!

2 days before the move I took out all the plants. Only left my carpeting Star Grass, Mosses and Floaters. I couldnt believe the amount off plants I had in these small tanks. Got a whole 10 liter container full and I have no green fingers... I'm planning to unpack like a manic and then the rescape begins...!

I set up in the kitchen and connected all the equipment, then started filling them up. The geyser was still off, so while drip acclimating the fish and shrimp, I switched the heaters on. In my exhaustion, I almost forgot to add Prime to the tank water. Luckily I remembered just as the water level reached the filters. I quickly added Prime to the tank water, according to the volumes.

    20210501_081254.jpg

Took me till 12 pm last night to get everyone acclimated to water and temps. I especially took my time with the shrimp and Chilli Rasboras. Also had to observe them for a while to make sure I didnt mess up along the way. Everyone has coloured up except the Chillis but they took a while when I first got them. They're all eating and dont seem to be stressed, most of all the shrimp. One has molted and the rest are munching away at the driftwood. So far so good...

I have just tested the water in both tanks and seems like I didnt kill any BB along the way. Ammonia is 0 in both tanks. Nitrites and Nitrates seem to be 0 too

Having a well deserved beer and cigarette! Hope everyone has a great Saturday!
