Oh my god.. the little darling. I would use boiling water and rinse a good couple of times. Even a high pressure hose with the pillow case trick and then test like @Whoknows suggested before using.

I don't think it will matter. Cold will get you more rinses I think

Can probably add a few bottles of Dischem peroxide too and let it stand, should oxidise out some of the harmful things in the soap too. And bonus is that it degrades into only water and oxygen, so no long term issues once peroxide has degraded.

I would say soap reacts more to hot water than cold. But I guess with the high pressure it wouldn't matter as this would definitely wash things thoroughly

You're welcome. This is the best way to wash sand in my experience as it's mess free and easier than getting into a bucket and changing out the water a million times

I had no idea clown killis grow so fast. It's been a few days and they both have doubled in size. And now almost the size of the killifish gardeneri which is really impressive given that they came Looking like fry.. it's so exciting to have other fish than cichlids now and the difference in their activity brings a whole new dynamic to the tank

    *Rant alert*

Tore this entire country apart looking for Shellie's. Tried importing and no one was going to ship them internationally. So I decided to go for the planted tank route instead. Today my system is complete with a proper light, Co2 injection and plants because I thought if a new idea instead of Shellie's. Then I get a message with the below link:
    https://www.discus.ae/products/shell-dweller-cichlid

With all the cash I spent on this tank alone I could have started with a whole 20 of them arrgggghhhhh

Okay rant over, I know you guys will understand what I feel

Hate the boring football they are playing but a good win.
First time in 6 or 7 opening games that they have won. Rooting for Portugal

We should play Fantasy football if you are playing. EPL always more exciting than any other league

And another rant :( this is definitely not my week.

So I got my new stock in on Thursday of new fish from the most reputable store in the country, upon inspection I noticed that 2 albino ancistrus had white spots on the fins and before anything I questioned the store because I suspected ich. The sales person had confirmed that the white on their fins is normal and I should not be concerned (I've never kept albino BN before). So I reluctantly took her word for it given the reputation of the store. Last night I went into the lounge and was trying to look at the fish properly as I've not had much time this week to pay attention to the tanks, and turns out the rainbows and BN pleccos have ich. I have 6 kuhli loaches in there so I really don't know how to treat other than with heat as the loaches are not yet affected but sensitive to meds in my understanding. On the plus side though they have confirmed to replace all fish but this means nothing because I need to now heal these fish and get the tank free of ich first. :(:(:(

Also trying to think back if I could have contaminated my main tank with utensils that were used in the small tank. I'd hate if I get an ich outbreak in both tanks because I'm scheduled to leave in 2 weeks time for a whole 6 to 8 weeks :(

Have said this many times before.

When I add new fish to my tank, I as a rule, add a drop or two of anti parasitic medication (Esha) to the bag while I am acclimatising them.
Not had an ich outbreak in many many years

Half dose of waterlife protozin if you can get it that side. Used this with my clown loaches to cure it. It worked thankfully didn't lose any

I'm going to adopt this habit from you. Other than 5 kuhlis all fish came together from the same supplier at the same time. Given their reputation I guess I wasn't cautious enough. Lesson learnt
