So after the Canister Filter debacle, my Crawfish pump fell in my tank and died! Still don't know why. Thankfully my fish are all fine.

Yes its my black ghost knife who I like to refer to as the gentle giant and on of my clowns. These 2 have been having this on off love affair for the last couple of months. This morning was the first time I managed to photograph them both together with a proper head shot and not just a tail shot. No matter how bad my day could be these guys make me realize just how much their is still to learn and enjoy in this hobby.

My first one that I have ever had, almost 2 years now. One of the most interesting nocturnals that I have kept. Very docile, grows slowly, doesn't seem to show any aggression as far I as I have observed, not really a picky eater. Lots of very interesting antics.

Knife fish are pretty cool. Very poorly represented in Africa, South America had a bewildering variety but very few are present in the trade. Mostly BGK, sometimes electric eels (these are knifefish) and sometimes a few odd ones are seen, especially in the Asian market.

But don't like company. They attack each other with their weak electrical fields

Friyay! My Betta has decided that the top of the Powerhead is a good place to nap. Tear in the fin is probably stress induced after rescaping his tank a few days back. Also the water flow was very high. Just niticed the tear today. Will be getting Paragaurd this morning.

I don't have much confidence
Early kick-off, so prob will only get to see the end.

Some interesting results in the knock out stages.

Anybody else using Tetra Pro for their Fish? In 3 or 4 days the colours have come out amazingly in all my fish but particularly my Rams. I have been using Hikari Vibrabites on all my fish for a month now and although growth has been great there has not been much in the lines of brighter colours. But after only few days on the Tetra Pro there has been a marked difference.
