    These things work so well for water changes on smaller tanks, not disturbing things below.
    Extending the middle part is often not even necessary, although pushing down only one side (so the strainer part sits more or less 45° in any direction) is also useful, depending on the scape below.

    Summer holiday over :(
    Schools go back at the end of this week.
    And it's just downhill to winter :(

    And what I really enjoy about this time of year, is the lack of traffic.
    Once schools go back, it becomes horrendous :mad:

    Im so glad we on our way to Summer... we had one of the coldest winters in a long time
    We also had very nasty frost in our area which caused a lot of damage..... it was heart breaking to go out in the morning and just see burnt leaves everywhere...

    My girlfriends mom said it was the coldest winter they'd seen here in Muldersdrift in over 30 years. Lots of our plants got burnt, but thankfully nothing kicked the bucket

    We have a good few nights of light frost every winter. And in bad winters, a few really severe frosts.
    I am used to the sight of blackened leaves :(

    We get the nasty black frost, not every year... every now and then...
    This year we had it 3 times and it really burns every thing....
