    No stress.
I use a DC controllable pump. It has a 10 minute feed mode which turns the pump off stopping water and food going over the overflow it comes back on by itself after 10 min I also use sinking food. When I had a normal pump I'd just add food on the opposite side of the tank so that it would sink before reaching the overflow. Hope this helps.

I have an unexpected day off work today
We were having LED lights installed in our office. It was supposed to start early this morning, take about 2 hours. So I was just going to go in late.
    But of course they over-ran.
So ended up just making a long weekend of it.

What a treat to see this thread still with life, and @Reedfish still giving it life!

I was last active on the forum about four years ago, slowly downscaled until I sold the last of my stuff about a year ago when moving house.. Well... I'm starting to get interested again... As always, cash is the limited factor, but we'll see how it goes

Most other countries in Africa have dropped a pcr on arrival.
From what I have read, the SA tourism sector was desperate for this to happen. Was just another obstacle making it more difficult for tourists.

It varies from country to country. But most now have minimal regulations in place.

    Good to hear.
My kids really struggled with this. From a mental point of view this wasn't easy for them (kids in general).

no male in the tank, so eggs are not fertilized.

Tell me about it, when I had to go to work - it took longer for me to get to work when there's no traffic. I had to wait for like forever before the green light came on. That's like 4:30am and the roads are dead quiet.
