Suiker Bekkie nesting (Marico Sunbird)

    We have a suiker bekkie (Marico Sunbird) Building a nest on our stoep.


    The female builds the nest on her own for about 5-6 days using all kinds of things but the interesting part is that they use spider web.

    Mom doing her thing. I have not seen the male around yet.

    No feeder, but there are quite a few of them around due to all the flowering trees and natural food. Very excited to see both parent come around feeding time.
