That's a lot of fish  you probably not going to get them at builders. I tired there also so give reblepets online store a try they keep a few types.

I'd suggest a 3500 lph pump as the minimum. If that's more then the tank then you got a steal on the tank:lol:

You can fill it with bio balls and make a wet dry

If you so please share some photos of it

I will reduce the stock as they grow - have a good supplier who will swop out fish for me so I can select the best of the stock to keep.

    Oh, ok...
    I was looking at 5000+ l/hr pumps:D
    Was calculating: Volume @ 650l x 6 x 1.5m height.
I did get a good deal on the tank though:cool:

    Am considering this.

    Will do so:thumbup:

Awesome that's a lucky thing to have
Agreed 5000 lph would be better for this size tank but you could make do with a 3500 lph:)
    Please ship me one :lol::lol:

I'm thinking of doing this with my 2m tank once its running too

    Thank you:thumbup:

Looking nice, the stand came out great..
Using the overflow box for extra filtration is going to give you loads more filtration, can't have too much filtration just make sure it can't clog and overflow...add a length of PVC pipe to be an overflow in case of a blockage
looking good  now we need to see some pics with scape done

    nice
stand looks strong enough to survive a nuclear blast.
personally i aim for minimum of 6 turn overs per off tank volume per hour. I also always use pumps curve to work out the lift and water volume loss.
pump flow is reduced when it has to pump upwards, your tank looks 1.6m above the ground

Could also add some egg crate box under it so make sure it won't block up the tank connector

    DSC_0041.JPG Hello everyone.

Just a little progress update: DSC_0042.JPG

Put in about 40kgs of pfs.
I do have another 20kg bag that I may add.
Not really a scape but I just threw in whatever tigers eye rocks I had and 2 pieces of wood.
I know that wood softens the water but these are small relative to the water volume.

I still need to skin the stand and make a lid:rolleyes:o_O

Once done then I will look at getting bigger rocks and scaping.

    Good evening all.

I've had some ups and downs with my fish and also life has been keeping me busy hence I haven't posted for a while.

I have a black ghost knife that is in my sump/refugium to grow a bit.

I'm also awaiting some red shoulder severums whilst they grow and hopefully red spotted severums as well.
