So I visited the LPS last week. Saw they have a few fresh water shrimps in one tank.

Enquired on the care and all that. So realized that the shrimp would last about 20 minutes in the tank thanks to a clown, a Pakistani and a pair of tigers that love shrimp.

So drive past the LPs again, and my fiancee saw the shrimp. So when I left the LPS, my pocket were a bit lighter. One 30l tank, heater, filter, substrate, stability and white spot treatment for the 250 went with.

So started setting up the tank last night. Will swing by the LPS again to leave a another bit of money on the counter for a few plants.

Then next week, a few shrimp and a few Neons to poo and pee in the water.

So anyone with advice on the shrimp?
Did a bit of reading... But every bit of information will help a lot

    Hallo!

Give the Neons a skip, they will make a meal of your shrimp. Even my Galaxies and Burmese Danio snack / nip on them. My Threadfin Rainbowfish co-exist beautifully with them however.

Put a little clump of moss somewhere in the tank, they love those. I feed them small bits of algae wafers from time to time and that's about that. They love bloodworms and will enjoy them when you feed your fish. That's about all constructive advice I've got.

Maybe the experts can add a little info here.

    Thanks @Dinky
Will make a note and do a bit of homework before I trust the LPS.
Plants are looking okay. Will try to get to the LPS on Friday for a few shrimp. Not going to be cool because we are away for Saturday and Sunday.

I might be lucky by I added some shrimp to my 4ft, with rams, rainbows and loaches in, and they are still doing good. Might help if you have good hiding places for them. They didn't survive the Discus or Nannacaras in the 3ft though.

Cool. Want to get a few to clean the 250l tank. But will have to get the 30l to settle first.

The 250l is a slaughter house as far as the LPS are concerned.
Ram's, Neons, Elephant Fish, Clown, Corry kids, Tiger Barbs and Green Barbs... So it is said that my tank will be an gauntlet for any shrimp. And the water... Well the water is dirty after ripping 70% of my plants out last night.

There is a tread on this in the Blacklist forums here on TASA. Seems the ban was lifted.
