Tank setup for a Oscar

    Hi,

    I'm new to all this, I'm thinking of getting an Oscar, i just need help on what size tank to get, they told me a 200-250L tank should be fine, Filtration, heating, should i add plants...basically i just wanna know what to get and what's it going to cost. i wanna make sure my Oscar is going to be happy:bigsmile:.

    I stay in Randburg, Johannesburg. Here's a pet shop close to my house but they are useless

    ok....but let me get my tank sorted first, what do i need i regard to size of tank, filtration ect... and how much does it cost????

    Plants and Oscar's dont work out most of the time

    I would say 350 to 400L tank with sump filter would work( you can look on the junk mail some times you get them cheap) cause I know it's not gonna stay with one oscar, filter wise if your tank came with a sump get a 1200L/h cannister filter (I prefer Tetra Tec they come with all the filter media aswell) or what ever you can afford.
