Tanks??!!

    Hello all! I am looking at buying a 4 or 5 ft tank as my latest project. Does anyone know where to buy the least expensive tanks in JHB? @MarcHawke said that he bought 1.2m tanks for R450 . My LFS sells them at R900 and I was told that this is a bad price. Does anyone know where I can buy some really cheap tanks? Thanks

    Ok then, is R900 a good or bad price for a 1.2 m standard tank? OR is R450 the best price? Thanks

    You might want to check pet masters. I checked about 2 months ago and they were going for R650. Hope this helps.

    Check on gumtree & OLX. There are people wanting to sell their tanks & you can negotiate a better price. I know that in CT you can pick up a 1.2m for around R500 on promotion at LFS. Normally sells for around R650 at LFS, but the price of glass has increased recently, so it could have increased by now. Happy Hunting & Good Luck. I'm sure you'll find something if you practise a wee bit of patience & wait for that perfect tank to come along on Gumtree or OLX
