Yeah the 4mb line is awesome! Can't wait for them to finish testing the 8mb lines and upgrade us all.

I'm waiting to see what happens with all these new uncapped options. Seems some ISPs are failing dismally. Waiting to see what TelkomInternet comes out with and also line upgrades. With cheap uncapped there's not much point in local servers. The internet should be the internet, not local/international rubbish. Only benefit of local would be speed but cost is still huge.

I believe from a reliable source that the Mweb option is HEAVILY shaped in favour of their commercial customers (where the big money is), which is to be expected. Still a good deal though. Would like to hear feedback from people that are actually using it. Expect a counter 'offer' from other ISP's. Hooray to cheaper internet!!!!! Let the price wars begin ....

No Afrihost uncapped is looking like quite a bad option now. After 30gb they start throttling you...

Yeah, apparently Mweb is doing the same... at 30gb, at 60gb, at 80gb and at 120gb I think.

I hope so... I actually made a mistake when I mentioned mweb now... I double checked and it's only afrihost that's throttling accounts.

I work for Telkom Internet, Middle of the food chain and I have heard nothing about us going the uncapped route, I know our line speeds are being bumped up cause here in Centurion I am synching at 10Mbs, I usually get the latest news from the company I work for from the myadsl foum, go figure :p

Do you know anything more than folks at mybb about what the line speeds will actually be?

8, 10 & 12Mbs depending on the Exchange, that is what we are trialling at the moment

Hey guys, I was lucky enough to get the MWEB uncapped one month free account! so testing since last week through April.. Have been using it for a week on a 4MB line shared with about 7 medium to heavy users. (2 others also have their own MWEB uncapped accounts). Speeds seems really nice, been able to shift about 20GB in the week. and that's just me, some others also around there
Apparently MWEB also upgraded to better fiber lines the other night, don't know the details but could almost see some more improvement.
You can detect that its shaped during office hours, but just for "non normal browsing" related actions and not really that much, depends on traffic. So I must say, I was skeptical but for now it seems really like a decent option..
