    Just read up on that. Sounds like an excellent product. Just for interest sake, what is the difference between the Microbelift Special Blend and Seachem Stability?

    @Dinky - don’t worry about the bubbles. As for the cycling, my experience was danios. They are cheap and tough little fish. Only downside is, they may jump.
    Excel is great stuff.

    @Ryno

    Had a look at canister filters but that will seriously have to wait for now. Is it worth the expense on a 100 liter?

    Personally I dont think spending R1000+ on a canister for a 100 liter is worth it, I think it is worth it on 1.2m tanks and upwards.

    Just maybe get yourself a small internal filter for extra flow in the tank and you will be sorted.

    actually think of it in this way a small tank with a lower water volume needs better filtration than a bigger tank because ammonia ect builds up faster in a small tank. and if you get a good cannister filter it gives about 10L more water volume for the tank and ALOT of bio filtration to keep the water in better quaility. where a small filter cant do that. but yes its a lot of money fof a small tank. but i always say buy the best you can. people buy the best for their other pets why not for fish thats way more fragile.

    @Dian6430

    Thank you very much.

    Substrate is Seachem Fluorite.

    Plants:

    Behind the driftwood in the right hand back - Hygrophilia difformis
    Middle at the back - Hygrophila coryombrosa 'angustifolia'
    On the wood - Anubias barteri var. nana
    Middle behind the small rock - Ludwigia repens
    Small little plants in the front - Staurogyne repens
    Grass - I actually don't have a clue. Bought it at the lps - Maybe @Ryno can shed some light on this for us. I did cut them a bit before planting. Most of it is floating on top of the water now...
    On the pot in the left hand corner - Microsorum pteropus (Java Fern)

    The pot was bought at Jingle Jangle in Pretoria(Don't know where you're from)
    The wood is Mopani Driftwood

    Let me know if I've missed something. If you're in Gauteng you can gladly google BetterWeather

    Sorry about the question but if you talk about substrate is that all the material at the bottom of the tank or only where you plant your plants?

    Just an update

    My tank is coming along although the growth on my plants seems a bit stunted especially if compared to my 30 liter! Guess I will have to get some more light in there.

    @Ryno

    Tx! Sal gou more gaan shop.

    Hmmm...wat die lig betref...ek trust niks meer wat uit daai petshop uitkom nie! Klomp ripoff Chinese crap wat hulle verkoop en hulle is totally clueless, nog meer so as ek en DIT wil gedoen wees!! Maar so leer 'n mens.

    Kan 'n mens nie die fitting change sodat ek meer globes kan insit nie? Die ding lyk vir my of dit 4 globes moet vat. Die voorbeelde wat ek op die web van die lig sien, het 4 globes in.

    Soek gou 'n foto.
