i need to refill my cylinder as quickly as possible. lights will only be on for 5hours a day until its refilled. wonder if they can check the regulator to see if its fine?

 

I think you should consider a service on the reg anyway. I'm sure they should be able to tell you where to go for a service.

Love the cube in the serving hatch ... BTW you might want to consider adding some purigen to the filtration. Once you see that cube in crystal clear splendor your will never want a tinge in the water again.

cool - I have actually just invested in a penn plax Cascade 400 to use as a polisher in my tanks - that way I can run purigen and batting when needed - do a recharge when needed (easy to see via the clear plastic of the 400) without doing canister or other filter maintenance. I am using verimark filter socks for the purigen, I find that the seachem bag does not work well for me in small spaces or odd shapes. The floss works great for pre-filtering.

Running the purigen in your canister, do you find that is polishes the water to a sufficient degree?

nah i dont think it works well for me. but my water is clear. the lights is very close to the water, i struggle to takepics off this tank. theres also allot of natural sunlight in the room. sopics dont look like they should. the water isnt cloudy or tea stained

thanx. im trying to get a good scape. not as easy as it looks hehe. so not getting a very good scape imo. but its a good learning experience. struggling with hair algae! go great growth this week. but my red plants are going more green every week.......

@Ryno Some plants only become red if there is a nutrient deficiency.:idea:

 

yeah also heard that. i dont dose any N.. tying to get them red. but mine just grows more green. hopefully it turns red with time. also gonna add some AC to get thecwater clear.
