The rarest fish you have seen?

Maybe at one stage but not anymore.
I have some.Ugly little buggers.But i like them.

 

i saw afunny looking catfish once in Durbs at the stables it was 6cm at R200 apparently it wa rare shure looked like it

 

What colour was it? Did it have really long 'whiskers'?

 

i saw one of these at the Hartbeespoort aquarium . (no idea if this is blacklisted so sorry) they are very interesting. not really a fish but lives under water for the first years of its live . waterdogs

Saw a "baby whale" at an LFS over the weekend. I waaaaaant eeeeeeet can't have though

 

The rarest fish I have seen was probably either a royal plec or a zebra pleco. This was quite some years ago.

 

it was white long whiskered and spotted

 

today at a breeder I saw emerald green tetras. apparently they are new species to be found . I couldt buy any as they where his breeding stock but in 4 months or so ill be geting some .

anyone else seen or heard of these guys?

 

Green tetras are more availible these days, not sure if emerald green is just another name for them.

Are they completely green or do they look like neons but green?

 

guys I really can't describe it right now it was one of the first fish I saw at the breeder and I couldn't buy it so I said ill take his first few for sale and that was it. I then went on to see many many differant fish so getting a good mind picture of it now is hard!

Marble fresh water moray eels. They look amazing. I went and got one yesterday. The really interesting to watch. They born in fresh water and then move to more brackish waters.
