Unkown Deaths

Hi All


Well from last Wenesday I lost my first Julli Cory
Thursday Julli cory again & boesmani Rainbow
Friday 2x Boesmani Rainbows
Saturday 2 Pepper Cory 1 Julli Cory 1 Boesmani Rainbow
Sunday 1 Pepper Cory 1 Julli cory 2 boesmani Raibow
Today 1 pepper cory

No other sign of scracthing or heavy breathing.

Wenesday night I decided to put some interpet anti parasite (5ml in 350L)
seeing I have never lost a cory before was scared that I lost more.
Saturday night, I decided to use Metro + focus + garlic guard (all Seachem)
and 2x metro pills in water coloum.

I took 1 dead 1 half alive fish to be scraped (didnt pick up parasites)
I also took my water for full testing. (seeing I only have a few testers)
I cant find my list now but I what I can remember
TDS 100 ppm
Chlorine/chloramin 0% (i used chlorine strips) also picks up nothing
Ammonia 0.2% (same as my tester)
Nitrite 0.5% (same as my tester)
KH - cant remember (I dont own a KH tester)
GH - cant remeber (I dont own a GH tester)
PH - 7.2 (my tester tells me 7.4)

My verdict by the petshop was you water is safe, maybe the TDS is a bit low
but other then that, its safe.

I did a water change yesterday (Sunday) after the scrape and water testing

I have not lost any of the following inside the tank
1x BGK
1x featherfin catfish (acting funny lately-sunday)
7x bolivian rams
8x neon rainbows
15x treadfin rainbow
13x Dwalf rainbow (getrute?)
6x celebis rainbow
6x albino cory
2x common ancisturs
5x L144 ancistrus
10x clown loach

any Idea?

 

Any recent additions to the tank?

 

10 clown loaches they have had ich sevel weeks ago at the shop
but was sorted before I brought them.

 

havent lost any of the clowns or scaleless fish
but the featherfin is been funny upside but swims fine when I get close.
maybe this is the so called "upside down catfish" my wife joked about it last night.
We originally wanted the true upside down but was sold to us.. turns out to be fake.

 

They may have introduced something else.

 

I suspect its them aswell and the reason I am using metro + focus + garlic gaurd
with 2 tabs for the water coloum, for the internal parasite.
also with the scrape, they didnt pick up anything funny.
said healthy... even the boesmani was half dying...

 

Sorry to hear about the losses @BBQ - How about adding some aquarium Salt to the tank?

 

Acutally I did add about 2 handful some 2 weeks ago.
I add this almost on a montly basis (350-360L tanks)
Cory and black ghost dont get affected and recently the clown loach also not affected if i add salt.
