    Just back from a LFS crawl .. I see the shop in little falls has second-hand pumps .. typically 25w +- 1100l/h @ something like R20 a pop - also have other second-hand stuff.

    You know how many strains there is and most of my fish i got are from well known pet shops, and the names given to me where wrong! so now i just want to make sure.

    Slojo, have you gotten a replacement pump yet?

    when we spoke yesterday, you said you were doing a mayor clean, was that just to do a big water change while the pump isn't circulating?

    have you got any kind of circulations and filtration going there?

    Thanx to everyone.Got some moneys today and managed to get 1 800l pump.
    This should do in the meantime.

    Had some losses but well.........
    I'm going to buy 3 1200/1400 L pumps.
    Should leave room for faulty pumps(Triple redundancy.)

    maybe do more, more regularly to help bring down the concentrations while the bacteria resettles, that should keep a mojor cycle at bay for what its worth, maybe just siphon off 20% or so daily or every second day till the media settles again
