Vallis vs excel

i read somewhere that the seachem excel and the vallis species dont mix to well,anyone experience this here?and at what point is a tank heavily planted,is it at 30,40,50,60% planted and does it require co2 at this point or only if the lighting is on the high side?

 

I thin @Rudi also mentioned this as Vallis are trully aqautic.

 

the short answer is, they do well together but at a much lower dose than what is recommended
I use 1ml to 80L and my vallis is happy.

 

would that be enough using it as a source of carbon?

 

That will depend on the requirements of the other plants.

 

i have also heard of vallis getting imune to excel and are deamed "excel safe" those plants actually looked much greener and less "brittle" if u know what i mean?

 

My vallis have definately taken a bit of a knock with excel but I am dosing fairly high to get rid of BBA once that is gone I will reduce the dose to a level just enough to keep away BBA and save for a CO2 system
