    So harvested my first few
    Variety is called “Gusto Purple” which is supposed to be medium (not sure of the exact SHU).
    But seemed quite hot to me !
    Need to build up my tolerance

    I harvested another few yesterday, and gave them to a friend of the Mrs who was visiting. She was so pleased
    Can see myself giving away most of the chillies that I grow.

    Yea, they produce lots.. Quite fun to grow them..
    I infused 12 yellow habanero chillies in vodka..(300 000 Scoville) It's good for a laugh but I mainly put it on the kitchen table in case someone tries to rob the place..

    Please elaborate on the thinking behind using this for security? Is this another smart move like that one ShopRite using oil a few weeks ago? :lol:

    The small purples are the Gusto Purple - medium
    Large purple is a sweet pepper
    Green yellow is Hot Banana. Very mild. But may have picked it too soon (it is supposed to be mild)

    They must be available?
    Or ordinary bell peppers for use in salads, stuffing etc?
    Often called sweet peppers in the UK

    Yeah we have normal bell peppers here but they only green yellow and red never seen purple ones

    It wasn't good - quite bitter :eek:
    Perhaps I harvested too early ??

    The "Gusto Purple" has been quite prolific.
    The best performer so far of all my chillies

    I have decided that I am planting sunflowers in my veggie garden this year. Last year was watermelons and sponspek, the year before was mielies. I got a 500 g of seed from a pet shop so there will hopefully be plenty.
