    Should look good.
You get some interesting colours now. Not just the standard yellow. But also also sorts of orange and reds

    Could well be.
I have a book on growing chillies/peppers and the advice there was to harvest the first few as soon as possible to encourage more flowering.
This is all new to me - I am still learning.

Guess you'll have to report back when you have your next harvest

This purple sweet pepper has some really small fruit that will be a while still.
Some of the chillies though have fruit that are slowly starting to turn red. Our weather has been rubbish (cool and cloudy) over the past few weeks.
We need a few hot sunny days for them to ripen quickly.

Its going to be winter there soon. So hopfully you can get some nice chilli first and maybe some more purple perpers that aren't bitter

    Tell me about it :(

I suspect I have another 6 weeks of growing season.
Am planning on bringing some of the harder to grow, chinense types, indoors. Maybe keep them going over the winter and start flowering early next summer.
The common annum types grow quickly. So my bin those when they stop producing. And replace them with new ones next season.

    It is
But it’s a lot easier to start with new plants next season than to try keep them going over the winter

    I am not certain.
Heat my greenhouse to 5*C over the coldest /darkest part of our winter
Probably borderline if they will make it through.

Am planning on bringing a few of the slower growing Habanero types indoors (windowsill).
    Will compost the rest.
And start again next spring. Either with seeds, or garden centre bought plants

What I also plan on doing is making a list of the different varieties I grew this season.
And will rate them. Don't want to waste time and space next year with the ones that weren't happy with my conditions

I try not to think about it

    But that's why it's only 5*C.
Am not keen on heating above that temp and the cost thereof.

Oh Wow, i missed this thread!

Yes, i have had a veggie patch for a few years now

My Dad used to love having a hand in it too...

I usually have spinach, cabbage, carrots, beetroot, leek, green, yellow and red peppers, lettuce, green beans..
Bringels do very well here too but this year i haven't planted many
Also had loads of sweet and normal potatoes last year, have planted more this year

Baby marrows, butternut, pumpkin and gem, still have 4 big ones from last year
I still have frozen tomatoes for cooking, from last years harvest

Always have celery, parsley, thyme.. rosemary..

I started sowing this year but last weeks cold killed most of my tabby marrow seedlings...

Broccoli and cauliflower i havent been very lucky with though

I dont have a hot house but i do have shade cloth over it

    @MariaS,

That is an impressive list of vegetables that you are growing :D

We have a good few nights of light frost every winter. And in bad winters, a few really severe frosts.
I am used to the sight of blackened leaves :(

My blueberry bushes have started putting out flowers - but I pinched them off. I think they still need a year or two before I will allow them to fruit. They are only about a year old currently

    Thanks @Reedfish

I love being able to go out and pick them fresh, i guess having the space allows for the variety
