Hahha, my Dad bought some gooseberry seeds about 4 years ago, they die off in winter here in Gauteng if not protected but the seeds from the ones that fall just spread all over my garden.... They come up in next couple weeks and fruit the same year!

Hehehe wow you really grow alot. I only ever successfully grew one plant that I'm pretty sure cannot be mentioned on a public platform and to be honest it flowered and was "fruitful" but replanting a seed from it was a fail and I never attempted again

Edit: I grew it indoors under UV light though with some sun too

Do you talk to your plants? One of my friends was very sure I failed at the second attempt because he did not come to my house to "bond" with the plant :lol::lol:

    Yes, I do.
Have added them to various dishes. (pasta, stews etc)

And have also given away a lot to friends and family.
I also plan to make some preserves from them.

Really nice. I got 2 black berry bushes today. Will plant them on the weekend. Also got some aluminium sulfate to drop the pH for my blue berry bushes. I measured and it was almost 7, then I added a 1/4 cup and watered, measured again the next day and it was about 6. Need to get it down to 5, but I dont want to drop it too quickly.

Hi, I have bought a Cayenne chilli plant. 4-7 cm long. There is 3 plants in one of those small pots. Anyone has some advice for me. Should I plant it out?

Over the winter I managed to save 3 of my super hot chillies.
Didn't have space indoors for the rest. So I binned those.

Will go to the garden centre over the weekend to see if they have plants for the new season.

I tried a few different sweet peppers last year. Wasn't a huge success. They were very bland - not at all tasty.
