Wanted: want easy fast growing plants

hi i am starting a planted tank and need some plants that grow fast,easy to keep and produce more plants will pay or dont mind if free:smile1:

 

Wheret are your located?

 

If you have a proper planted tank with lots of light, ferts and Co2, then most plants are easy and fast growing!

 

I am in cape town

 

Vallis, easiest under the sun to grow. or Java fern

 

Do they spread

 

vallis spreads very easily. i used to keep it with my oscars and that stuff grows like wildfire. no ferts no c02. no special lights. very basic lighting and it grew. it focuses more on sending our runners than actually growing the main plant. just becareful if you decide on c02 it tends to "melt" away,

 

so i can put them with out co2 and where can i get them i am in cape town

 

honestly if you want the best vallis at the best price get hold of elite aquatics. i see you from strand though so it is quite a drive i think. you get x5 long (20cm +) pieces in a bumch for R14 its such a steal!! i bought 20 from them and managed to double layer the sides and entire back of my 1.5x60 tank with only R200 bucks. totally worth it. facebook them or google.

 

birds haven has but they pretty expensive..

if you can get to me in Tokai you can have some very expensive plants don't ask me what it is but the crap grows fast and covers the 1,8 so much so that it grows out the canopy just threw a lot away last night and dumped a lot in the rain water tank and the pond it takes about 3 weeks to fill a 90cm tank you most welcome to it all .

 

Hi Mark. I work in Tokai and would be intrested in those plants if the still available.

 

@eesa, if you're in strand then Fish Etc. is closer to you. They're just outside Stellies. I just bought 5 pots of Vallis from them and it's the same Vallis that Elite Aquatics get. I bought all their stock out today, but they'll have more in a day or so when they bring new stock from the fish farm.
