What camera do you have?

Also got a "mik en druk". Canon A490 10.2Megs with 4gb card, carry case and nothing else.

 

I rest my case. I imported my CP, IR and UV filters from Japan and paid around R20 for each of them, including shipping to my doorstep and local TAX. There's no way you'll beat that locally. Also imported myself a flash from Hong Kong (and let's face it, those guys know all about photography. That's all they seem to do when they travel!) and paid R275 for one that supports 2 slave flashes with variable flash levels... Locally, it sells for R1200!

Just got an 18-135 for your old 450d. Way better than the 18-55!

 

Either use Canon G3 or 10D.

Haven't shot film in who knows how long but still have the cameras (Canon EOS 300 and a Pentax)

 

lol, guess i get bored quickly ? Anyway, i should be getting a juwel lido 120 from Joe soon, will be a nice planted tank with 20 cardinals.

 

My CPL arrived from China yesterday! Yaaay! Played around the pond a bit. Makes a huge difference!

 

Great choice, have the 5D myself for pro work. Have gone the L series lens route. As you will know these cameras also turn out startling good video images, even better than my high-end HD camera, costing well over 10xs a much and almost 10x as heavy! I guess you now need to invest in 100m macro for your fishies, if you have not done so already..

 

This is my macro setup, obviously wont use the flash on tank pics, but i dont have a tank at the moment to take pics of.

 

it was not an easy choice between 7d and 5d mkII, but i decided to wait for the 5d mkIII which will be launched somewhere this year for full frame.

 

I have the Nikon D7000.

Ah, don't feel too bad. I'm still running around with an old 350D No complaints (just need some decent lenses), but that HD video would be nice!

 

Olympus E520 with std Zuiko Digital 14-42mm 1:3.5-5.6 lens and also Zuiko Digital 70-300mm zoom lens. Awesome camera! Btw got exactly the same for my wife except hers has the Zuiko Digital 40-150mm 1:4.0-5.6 lens.
