when 2 become 1

big things are happening,tank 1 is now devoid of oscars the pleco should be gone tomorrow @Derek?all inhabitants of tank 2 except guppies will be moving to the 5foot once it is properly decked out YAY happy days

 

first thing first im gonna sort out the lights,tank is 500mm high so t5s should be fine how many is the question?then substrate at the moment its riversand which should be good for the corys,is inert as far as nutrients are concerned,will be getting ada but that will be for the 3foot which is pfp capped at the moment and i'm not totally convinced of its usage just yet,it may or may not have caused my BL hygrophylla sp to grow in leaps and bounds(NB i know why its BL now) and its has all but been removed from tanks never to be replanted again i cant say as its done any wonders with any of the other plants but i will be willing to give it another chance in the new setup but just in pockets not the entire tank.

 

plants i know for sure will be in the setup are my red tiger lotus,ceratopteris thalictroides,anubia and java fern(another one im gonna a second chance),have some java moss on some of the driftwood as well.have some vallis as well dont know if i want to use again for various reasons one is the sending of runners all over and the other is as i will be using excel for the time being its shown signs of melting at the moment.

i want the tank to have that river bed feel to it wondering how to go about it,lots of driftwood worked nicely in my 3 foot

 

Started scaping had to plant what i had received so far.
put in 4 x54w t5s 6500kv which i paid R90 each for.

 

going to sort out my camera story tonight cause this bb takes rubbish photos.couldnt resist and added some new fish added 11 serpaes to a total of 16 now,and 5 more panda corys to a total of 11

 

need to add some more substrate its looking a bit thin in places

 

also need to think up some middle to top swimmers i see the serpaes stick to the bottom some even shoaling with the corys

 

The tank is looking stunning... What is the large Cichlid that is so photogenic?
