collected some more plants from shihr some nice rotala planted them yesterday will take pics when i sort out my camera cause this bb is the worst.no big problems the algae i was expecting has'nt arrived yet(fingers crossed)just some brown algae on the anubias might have to blitz them with excel again.the java moss is growing very nicely after looking a bit burned i assume from the new lights, that pile of driftwood should be covered in no time.the staurogyne is catching on.couldnt wait for the ada so i will have to add root tabs asap to give me that boost or im just being impatient.might also go pressurized sooner than i thought if it goes well.

Why not get the profs angels they are a lot nicer than than the shop angels??now back to my tank lol just thinking it is a hassle this daily excel dosing thing so someone needs to get their behind in gear with this diy pressurized co2 thing.i also need to invest in an external filter i think.

Either one or both will do a great job. Remember that if you don't have enough algae to supplement their diet with lettuce or Zuchinni (SP?) they really love it.

The reason that your moss could be dying back is because of the Excel, I tried it with a small piece of my moss and within about 2 days the little piece was all brown and shows no new growth...:notrust: You could also try reducing the amount of Excel you put in, that might help. BTW I think you have a few "Mowers" in your tank, hence the reason you keep on finding loose leaves in the tank.

    Just my 2c worth...HTH

maybe 2 ancistrus and 5 ottos:p,the moss i think was just adjusting to the new light it went from a 2 t8 situation(very dim) to 4 t5(very bright)its actually growing into quite a bush i will take photos as soon as i can see through the front glass lol.i had the lotus with oscars and a huge pleco for a while and thought they were doing something to it but its still hapening and they are long gone, ive yet to see any of the fish nibbling at the plants and it does seem to be catching on its the biggest its been since i bought it and all the big leaves died off so im telling myself its just growing pains and once everything has settled it will just be plain sailing(fingers crossed)

@oscar freak - My R.rotundifolia only realy gets the red colour in the upper regions of the tank... no CO2 in my tank, just dose Excell - But my lighting is way up there 2 x 24W 10 000k over 75l of water,so from that i would say CO2... just a guess.

Oh,and I agree with shihr - lose the background...white wall actualy looks real nice...you dont realy notice it at all... go look at some of my River tank pics... got white wall behind it and you hardly notice it once the plants grow in... (just have a pet peeve over those backgrounds....lol,but it is your tank after all...)
