Like I said at the start of this thread, my heart is with the English. I loved the way the Dutch played last night. It's a good thing that manager and striker will be at man united for next season. I know I am opening a can of worms here.

I don't agree, the english game was lacking in passion. They seem to have given up.

And this is why I really enjoy the World Cup as its a more balanced platform. Its not about which league team has the most money, buying the best players to win the next league cup. Players play for their countries against team mates.

PS, please don't take my posts seriously, just a point of view to encourage discussion

On paper it should be an easy game for them.

I think they got a bit of a wake up call tonight. It's also going to be interesting without Van Persie in the next one.

Assuming Brazil wins there group, the Dutch must win the last game to avoid them. Well looking at Brazils performance, not sure the Dutch have any thing to worry about. Home ground advantage may play a role.

All the hype about Rooney in the press is unbelievable.

He looked lethargic and uniterested on Sat night.
If he can't motivate himself for the WC, then I really don't know.......

Well, do we remember who knocked Brazil out of the 2010 World Cup? That's right. It was the Netherlands. And this Brazil team looks like they'd be a pushover compared to the previous WC.

England haven't been big world cup players for ages. On paper one of the favorites, but in reality, a no show.
