Beautiful @Ebrahim. How big is the colony? I saw I guy selling his colony of zaire blue. .. Price a bit high for me else I would take it. Do you let your females hold or do you strip? Can you take a full tank shot please hehe

I got 2 male and 10 females. Males about 25 to 30cm. Females range from 15 to 20 cm. I use to let them hold but they only a few carried past 4 days. Now I strip at day two to gain more experience but will let them hold again soon. Yes I have seen that add but those are not zaire blue. Definitely a tanzanian variant. Full tank shot will follow soon.

Nice perfect ratio. Okay I currently have for a month now a male n 3 female adult kigoma they seem to be doing fine similar setup to yours just one cave n then ground space for females. Hope to breed them. Love the first pic im assuming it's the alpha

Yes he is the alpha. Try to put some caves for the females cuase females fight like men and the caves will provide some sort of comfort to the weaker females.

Cool. I noticed yes one of the females are dominant I think I'm going to get clay pots. Also what do you feed adults and fry? Thanks for the advice.

I must say that very little good food are available in south afrika for frontosa. For me its a matter of personal choice. I feed omega one cichlid sinking pallet. Its just a little small in size. The floating are bigger but frontosa is bound to get float when eating from tbhe surface. Omega one is from the better foods when it comes to price and quality. i think feed the best quality food you can find in your area. I use to feed every night but I cut down to every 3rd night and i cant se any difference but they are more active. Hopefully I will see more successful spawns with the new feeding times.

Okay i have super omega flakes n normal spirulina flakes best I could find. There is quality sticks but they float,I stopped using it can't get to the name. I will see if it sinks if I crush it. I normally feed early hours of the morning. Love watching the male herd the females n breaking their fights.

Panorama have a hole range of omega one products. To feed Eary in the morning is fine. Remember in the wild females can easily get away from bullying males. I dont like thorn fins at all but there is so little we can provide for them in an aquarium.
